The County's finest

After that night at Cool's house (read: Eye Candy post) I would never hang out with Eye Candy any where else besides his own place or Angels. I would still go and visit him at the gas station where he worked nights occasionally after I got off work.

One evening about midnight, I pulled into the gas station to pop in and say "Hi" to Eye Candy. The store was pretty much empty except for the other cashier, 1 customer and a Cop. I jumped out of my car and strolled inside. Eye Candy was leaning on the counter chatting with the Cop but when he saw me enter, he smiled. The Cop turned to see what he was looking at, and when he saw me, he nodded his head as to say "hey", told Eye Candy he needed to step outside but would be back in a few.

Eye Candy had some things around the store to do, so I followed him around chatting as he did his work. I had a favor to ask him, I needed help changing the bulb of my tail light because it burned out and I had no idea how to do it. He said as soon as he finished restocking the drinks, he'd be more than willing to take a look. We chatted a few minutes longer when the Cop walked back inside and joined our conversation. Within minutes, the Cop started teasing me and it was really getting old. I told Eye Candy that I was going outside to smoke and to come out when he was done.

I walked outside, lit my cigarette and leaned against my car. A voice behind me said, "You shouldn't smoke, it's bad for your health" Oh like I had NEVER heard that before. I turned around to see the Cop standing a few feet behind me. I rolled my eyes, said "Oh really? I didn't know that.. gee.. why didn't someone tell me that before?" I said sarcastically and turned back around. God, he was irritating. You think he would have taken the hint, but he didn't. He walked closer to me, trying to stir up a conversation.

"So, what's your name?"

"J"

"Ohh really? Huh.. that's funny"

"And why the hell is that funny?"

"Ohh.. hahah it's nothing"

This man was really starting to piss me off. "Nothing, huh. Was something, if it made you chuckle."

"Well.. you really wanna know?"

"I asked didn't I?" Is it illegal to be rude to a Cop when you're just having a conversation? When he isn't pulling you over or anything? I wondered to myself.

"Hmm.. well.. maybe I'll tell you before you leave" He smirked and walked back inside. I stomped on my cigarette and walked back inside behind him. I didn't know why, but damn it this man made me madder than a wet cat.

"You done yet?" I asked Eye Candy as I walked back into the store.

"Just a few more minutes. Sorry!"

I sighed and went to browse the magazine rack while I waited. I tried to stay away from the Cop as much as possible. I didn't want to go to jail for going off on an Officer of the Law. My attempts to put some distance in between us didn't work and he joined me over at the magazines a few minutes later. I noticed he stood very close to me but as I tried to step back, I almost tripped. The jerk was standing on my shoe lace.. ON PURPOSE! I bent down to tie my shoe and while I did, he made some remark I didn't quiet hear, but I knew if I had, I would have said something rude. A few minutes later, the same thing. This time, when I bent down to tie the shoe lace again, I heard him say something along the lines of "Yea, I like to see you bent over"

Without thinking, I stood up and kicked him square in the shin. "OW!! What the fuck you do that for!?" he yelled

First I laughed, then I was afraid. Surely I was going to jail now. I just assulted an officer. "I heard what you said jerk!"

He leaned in close to my face, "I could take you to jail right now. You know that, right?"

I knew I better think quick. For a few seconds, I just stared at him. I don't know why, but my anger fled and a new sensation washed over me. I realized he was HOT! Like, I wanted to throw him down on the nasty gas station floor and fuck his brains out hot. So, I straightened my back and leaned closer in to him, "Yea.. well.. I have a feeling I wouldn't make it to jail" I said, with a smile forming on my lips.

"And why is that" he whispered so faintly I could barely hear him

"Because you'd let me go"

"And why would I do that?"

We were whispering so softly, I was surprised either of us heard what the other was saying. "Because, how are you going to explain that the girl you're bringing in.. you just fucked in the back seat of your cop car?"

He just stared at me with mixed emotions in his face.

"Go outside" He demanded

I was still nervous. I didn't know this guy at all. I knew there was still a chance he could take me to jail, but if he did, I'd definately have some ammo up my sleeve. Thankfully, the gas station had cameras inside and if I needed to use those to show he was harrassing me, then I knew Eye Candy would help.

"I'm going back outside" I yelled over my should to Eye Candy as I followed the Cop out.

Once outside, the Cop leaned against the hood on his car staring at me.

"Yes?" I asked

"So.. You wanna know why I laughed when you told me your name?"

"Yes, I do"

"Well, all the J's I've ever met have always been freaky."

"You calling me a freak????" I asked, some what insulted

"No.. No.. not like worship the devil freak. But more like.. a freak in bed, freak"

"Ohhhhhhh" I said, producing yet another smile.

"So.. does the tradition continue?"

"I don't know. Guess you'll have to find out"

"Hmm.. maybe 1 day I will."

And with that, Eye Candy walked out. The Cop said he had some paperwork to do in his car and got in. Eye Candy walked over to my car and started to look around. He couldn't figure out how to change the lightbulb either so we both gave up. I stuck around for a little bit longer then told him I had to leave. As he was giving me a hug goodbye, a minivan came into the parking lot and stopped behind my car. I turned to see who it was, but I didn't recognize the woman. Something was yelled to us, but I didn't hear what was said, then the minivan left.

"Someone you know?" I asked Eye Candy

"Yea..." He said and looked away

"Well? Who was that?"

"My wife"

"WHAT! YOU HAVE A FUCKING WIFE!??"

"Yea.. but we're seperated. We haven't been together in over a year. She's just pissed 'cus I'm late with my child support"

"What a damn minute! I thought you said you had none when we were at Cool's house"

"No. I said nine."

"WHAT!?? You have fucking nine kids!?!"

"Yea.. why do you think I have so many jobs? I have to pay child support for all of them."

Holy Jesus Christ! Nine fucking kids?!? Seriously? After that, I excused myself and got in my car to leave. I saw the Cop look over and I waved goodbye. I was pissed, to say the least. So, I backed my car up and pulled out of the gas station. When I did, my tires squeeled a little, but I didn't care. The speed limit was 40 on that street, but I was doing 50mph. In my rearview mirror, I saw The Cop pull out of the gas station as well, going the same direction I was and his lights were on. I knew he was coming after me, but I just kept driving faster. After I got up to 65mph, I decided I better pull over so I pulled into a vacant parking lot. He pulled up beside me, got out and leaned over the top of his car.

"You know why I pulled you over?" He asked, acting all serious

"Umm.. cus you forgot to get my number?" I asked, trying to make light of the situation

"Hahaha. You're funny. Do you know you have a tail light out? And you were speeding?"

"Uhh.. YEA! I know about the tail light. That's what I came up to ask Eye Candy to help me with. I have it right here if you want to try to figure it out." I said sarcastically

"Nope. But you need to get it fixed. Other Cops won't be as nice as I am."

"Oh you call what you are nice?" I asked, as he made his way around his car to my window

"Of course I'm nice. You don't think so?"

"You threatened to take me to jail"

"And you propositioned a cop"

"No I didn't. I just said you'd have a hard time explaining that the girl you were bringing in, you fucked in your car"

"So, you weren't asking me to fuck you?"

"Why, do you want to?"

"And if I say yes?" He was so close to me I could see the beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

"Then we need to meet up sometime"

His radio went off and he had to go to respond to a call. "Here's my pager, call me and we'll meet up" He said as he turned to walk away.

"You sure about this?"

"Oh yes. I'm definately sure" He answered as he slid into the car and pulled away.

I decided I'd wait a few days and give him a call. Surely I'd be safer with a Cop than I was with Eye Candy and Cool.
